Hoshi no Kinka

29 06 2007

THIS DRAMA, Hoshi no Kinka, was my favorite! I watched this… When I was frikkin 11 and 12. Oh oh, and Yome wa Mitsuboshi! Dude, I hella loved this one. (Mostly because of Morita Go… XD)

Jesus Christ, I really want to watch it again. ;A; My childhood… I used to watch so many J-dramas. And now, they kinda suck. Or they don’t show it over here in the US.

I love looking through DramaWiki.

Off to discover more J-dramas from my youth…

Burn It

It’s too frikkin hot to sleep at night. Not to mention, mosquito season has started. Damnit.

Hawaii… Hawaii sounds so nice right now. Man, I would totally trade my ticket to Japan for a ticket to Hawaii… Waikiki… Fresh fish… Tropical fruits… Lovely ocean… White sand… Shopping…

But Japan will be cool. It’s just too industrial to have a nice relaxing time though. And the humidity drives everyone insane. And the mosquitoes are much worse.

There’s nothing to eat in this house. Again. We have plenty of food on Sunday and Monday, but then it just disappears… I’m hungry.

Well, Box and Fish are coming over today. :) Exciting! I should go start cleaning and such.

Btw
GRRRRR.

Eh, the drawing itself looks weird. But the process of it has been interesting.

Substitution

Haha, wow, I am so fake.

I do that a lot. Outwardly, I express one thing. And then on the inside, I’m thinking the complete opposite, cursing at whoever provoked me to say otherwise. But I’m really to blame.

I wish I could stop doing that, but it’s a habit. I would say I can’t help it, but that’s a fat lie. That’s what addicts tell themselves to make them feel better about their stupid habit.

On another note, PEOPLE ARE FRIKKIN STUPID.

No, I didn’t just figure that out, but wow, I got slapped in the face with a very big reminder.

Fucking canned sweetened pineapples… Never buy them ever again in my life

Released Grip

Wow, I have so much pent-up anger and frustration. And it’s so lovely to finally let it all go and not have it solely on your mind anymore.

But of course, there is something always on my mind and eating it away. At least now there are less things consuming my sanity. I wonder why I bottle things up and why I put up with things that can be so easily solved. Who knows? I sure don’t.

The hardest part for me to stand up for myself is to accept the consequences from those people around me. But that’s a part of standing up for yourself, isn’t it? To deal with the consequences and still not lose dignity.

Now, all I gotta do is take action…

Cleveland Drift

25 06 2007

Well, I missed a couple days of updating this thing and I have a bunch of stuff to tell.

On Saturday, there was a plan to go to Waterworld, but it seemed like it was poorly planned because I didn’t even know who was going. The day started out badly too. I was feeling tired and groggy from the day before and I had to get ready for the Waterworld fun and I was running late and I spilled my hot tan-men (salt flavored ramen) in my car and so I had to go home, wash it off, and then go to Max’s house. Max, Lacy, and Cami were there. There was some confusion as to who was coming because a lot of people who were invited stayed up really late playing Dungeons and Dragons, or something. I have no idea. But apparently, they didn’t even stay up that late, just 2:30. I stayed up until 4 that night. :\ Well, anyway, Max, Lacy, and Cami were just sitting around, on the internet, so I went to go get gas in my car.

Then I came back and Damien was there. We packed stuff up and we left to Scotty’s, where we were meeting up with Thor. We bought lunch and then finally left for Concord. It was an hour trip and navigating was a bit difficult, but not too bad. Traffic wasn’t too bad either.

We got to Waterworld and had some confusion about not having food or drinks in the premises, even though at Scotty’s, we went over the fact that you aren’t allowed to bring it. And we had to make several trips to the car and finally, went in. Max bought a season pass, so he had to wait for it to get processed, but I guess he gave up because it was taking too long.

The first ride that we all went on was the Big Kahuna. Haha, that was awesome! And then we all rode on various stuff throughout the day. Lacy was scared of almost everything and kept yelling at us about not running or something. Thor and I kept yelling, “EXTREME!” Cami is awesome and isn’t a pansy, so she rode on all the “big” rides with me. Damien was shivering the whole time. It wasn’t that cold, but I dunno. Max and I got on that uhhh… Half pipe thing and wow, it was just a straight drop! What an adrenaline rush. Hahaha, I love rides. It gave me a whiplash though. We all raced on the single rides and I tried the closed ride, you know, just a winding tube-like ride. I remembered I rode a similar one at Raging Waters and I didn’t like it because I get claustrophobic and panicky. I wondered if perhaps I’m over the claustrophobia and went down it, but nope, I’m still claustrophobic. So, yeah, never riding those again. XD

The last ride we went on was… A big funnel… Thingy. Max, Damien, Thor, and I rode on it because it could seat 4 and WOW, it was GREAT! It was a shame that we didn’t go on it earlier. Unfortunately, the park was closing, so after that, we all went home.

Thank God Thor was in the car this time because we were a bit nervous about the way home and Thor directed me the right way while the others accidentally took the exit to San Francisco, so they had to go all the way through San Francisco back home. D: We got back way ahead of them, so we got a Jamba Juice and walked around Safeway. I was thinking of staying a little bit at Max’s house and hang out with Lacy while the boys had a LAN party, but I got a call from David, saying that him, Sindy, and Sindy’s mom were stranded at the Ferry Terminal because there were no more buses running. So I dropped Damien and Thor off and went to Larkspur to drive David, Sindy, and Sindy’s mom back to the bus depot, where they parked their car. Then I drove David home because he lives near me, but on the way, Thor called and said he left his keys in my car. So as soon as I dropped David off, I went back to TL to give Thor his keys and finally went home.

And that is a lot of driving, dear God.

Otherwise… Uhhh… Yesterday, I tried to have a webcam chat with Chillman, but it didn’t go so well because Skype kept disconnecting us. So we just voice-chatted for a while. That was so awesome! :D

Tomorrow, I think I’m playing tennis with Chi. And then this weekend, TheNakedCupcake and Fish are coming to stay! :D Ooh, it’ll be lots of fun!

自分

21 06 2007

You know that feeling…

And then… It’s gone.

What?

Well, anyway, I’ve been having a tiring time. Yesterday, Leah came over and I had still been sleeping cuz I stayed up really late the night before. (What do I do so late at night? I dunno) And I took a quick shower and packed up some sleepover stuff. Leah picked out three movies to watch, V for Vendetta, Gandhi, and The Last Samurai and I packed up my laptop since Leah just moved in, so she has no TV nor computer to watch DVDs on.

Since Leah’s a new driver and doesn’t like driving, I drove her car. Her car is so small and smooth and easy to maneuver… I like driving her car a lot. Anyway, we first went to her old place to pick up a couple stuff that she forgot during the move and then we went to Nordstrom so that she could pick up her paycheck. God, after I come back from Japan, I HAVE to work at Nordstrom. They jacked up the base pay to $12.50!!! Holy Lord, that is WAY too good to pass up… Then she took me to Boudin for their famous bread bowl clam chowder. Mmm, that chowder is delicious! :9 Damn, I’ve missed out all my life on this great soup…

Then we went to Bank of America and went over to Ross to do a bit of home shopping for Leah. She got a knife set, towels, and other necessities. Then we looked at clothes and Leah picked out a TON of outfits for me to try. It was pretty ridiculous. She made me try a denim mini-skirt that I thought I’d hate, but I actually don’t look half bad in it. Leah says it’s hot, but haha, I don’t think it looks that good. I felt naked, so I didn’t want to buy it, but Leah said it was a must. Then I tried this really funky awesome shirt and ended up buying that too. There was this one dress that was pretty awesome and I did want to buy, but I’m broke, so I didn’t buy it. I tried to find some fancy shoes for fancy occasions, but uh, yeah, hopeless. So I bought Roxy sneakers. XD

Then we headed to Clement to buy a bunch of food for Leah’s empty fridge and we bought a lot of cheap utensils. Good ol’ Clement… And Asian markets. XD We didn’t have anything in mind to eat, but we just bought a ton of food. It was fun. Then we got bubble tea. Leah suggested lychee milk tea and she got passionfruit milk tea. Mine tasted like coffee and hers was tangy and sour. So we switched. XD Then we finally went over to her new apartment and dragged the tons of groceries there was. That took a while. Then we organized recyclables and garbage and started cooking dinner. Simple dumplings and stir-fry, but it was really good. Then we started watching V for Vendetta. Daniel and his friend, Vincent came by and ate a little bit, watched the movie for a while, and then left. Leah and I finished up the movie and started watching Gandhi, but it was getting late and the movie was long and Leah had class in the morning, so I watched up until intermission and went to bed.

Leah was supposed to wake up at 6:30 to get ready for school, but she decided not to go. XD Haha, so we slept until 9. Then we ate a little and got ready to leave. Her apartment is nice, next time, we’re gonna go walk to the beach. :)

On the way, we tried to go to Quickly for more bubble tea, but they weren’t open yet. Lame. So I just drove home and then chilled for a little bit, then quickly got ready to go see Fantastic Four: The Rise of the Silver Surfer with Ethel, Kayan (I dunno how to spell his name), and Cynthia.

I picked them up from COM and went over to Northgate where we ate a quick lunch and then went to see the movie.

Personally, I hated it. Things happened too conveniently, the ending was sped up, and a lot of weird random things that came out of nowhere popped up. The only part I liked was the Silver Surfer himself.

Then we went shopping around a bit. Man, I got some sweet discounts today. $4 shirt from Pacsun and discounted underwear at Victoria’s Secret. Ah, it felt good to shop, but not spend a lot. Then we went to Macy’s because Kayan wanted to buy cologne. Ethel, Cynthia, and I tested out so many colognes that we got a headache. I really like… Uh… Wow, I forgot the name of it already. But it came in a green bottle and it smelled fruity. I like fruity smells over any other scent. Kayan got the stuff I like and also Light Blue. It was quite expensive, but it’s probably stuff that he can’t normally get back home in Poland/Taiwan.

Then we decided to go home. I dropped Cynthia off in Tiburon, then Ethel and Kayan in Kentfield.

Man, I’m tired. I want to finish Gandhi, but it’s such a long movie…

Translation:

Using many colors
If my emotions are capable of being illustrated
With this hand, I would’ve taken the brush
And I would make a drawing, wouldn’t I?

Countless words all lined up
If my emotions were chosen
With this hand, I would’ve taken the pen
And I would’ve written a letter, wouldn’t I?

But that, I just couldn’t do
Instead, I decided to sing this song
I couldn’t do anything else
Sending the turned key

In your
Tear, a fire
With one strength
Holding
An oath
That you’ll always be by my side

So it’s okay if it’s disappeared
Though, on an appointment
That cannot be expressed

In your
Smile, a fire
That has two types of kindness
Holding
Wanting to praise
Our thoughts connecting
From today and now on

Wow. The translation sounds really retarded, but the Japanese isn’t so awkward… I’ll try a different song.

Translation:

I probably failed to notice
Up until the moment
I first met you
Thinking I could live life alone
I had been walking
Always carrying it upon myself
Regardless of the hesitation
Regardless of the regret
With that innocent smile
You blew all that away for me

Always always right by your side
At a place closer to you than anyone else
With a feeling with a strength beyond anything
I will continue to protect you

I was supposed to have already known
Facing you, I went and showed off myself to you
At this moment and perhaps from now on, it may occur again
When there is a time when we cannot find the words we want to say, let’s let the tears fall
As long we have each other, we should be able to overcome anything

Always always right by your side
At a place closer to you than anyone else
With a feeling with a strength beyond anything
I will continue to protect you

Even in the light’s bright morning
Or the blowing wind’s night
No matter the day, with this never changing feeling
I want you to look only at me

In the midst of counting stars
Followed by a sigh only by a coincedence
The one and only thing
From the both of us
Isn’t just a miracle

Always always right by your side
At a place closer to you than anyone else
With a feeling with a strength beyond anything
I will continue to protect you

Today and tomorrow and also the day after tomorrow
No matter how much time has passed
Only this will never change
I will keep my eyes only on you

Always always right by your side
At a place closer to you than anyone else
With a feeling with a strength beyond anything
I will continue to protect you

I probably had already realized
At the moment when I first met you
That I’ve been searching for you all along
I had been searching for you
I had been searching for you
I had been searching for you

Quizzical

19 06 2007

Y, Melissa, Annie, and I have been exchanging a bunch of quizzes for the past 2 or 3 hours. Ridiculous. Hahaha. I wish more people would take my Art History quiz. I don’t expect high scores at all, but it’d be fun to see how in-depth their knowledge is.

Man, tomorrow, I was gonna go to the Tezuka Osamu exhibit with my dad, but plans aren’t working out.

I went swimming today with Leah and John (Jewon’s little brother) after eating lunch with Leah, Chi, Min Jeong, and Cheng Cheng. I haven’t seen them in a while. And then after swimming, Leah, Jewon, and I just hung around her room, chatting. It was fun. :)

I’m starting to re-read Hot Gimmick. I’ve been on a shoujo manga binge for some reason.

Man, I’m getting sleepy…
