SWEET

28 09 2006

Ahahaha, I had the best school day ever. Well… No, not the best school day, really.

Anyway, Sandy cancelled English, so I just wandered around aimlessly for a while. It was Transfer Day, so there were a bunch of graduate colleges with their own tables, trying to advertise their school. I called Danielle and so she came up to where I was and we walked around, looking at colleges. Well, mostly me looking at colleges because she wasn’t really interested in any of the colleges there and there were some awesome art schools. And then we saw the University of Phoenix had chocolate on their table, so we mosied over there and pretended to be interested. But the lady knew we were only there for the chocolate. She asked what our major was so that she could explain what their program is like. Danielle said she had no idea and I’m in art. XD The lady was like, “Umm… Well, we don’t do art, we do more business…” I replied, “Well, for chocolate, I might just change my major…” And then Danielle was like, “I never really considered a college in Arizona, but if there’s chocolate…” XD The lady explained that there’s a TON of University of campuses all over California. Which really doesn’t make any sense whatsoever… Apparently, they’re the largest university in the world. But it’s not really that impressive because most of their students take the online courses…

I visited the CCA (California College of the Arts) booth and it was pretty tight. I got a bunch of pamphlets and filled out the information card, even though I already get their catalogues and info in the mail… XD I was surprised to see there is an animation major because when CCA visited the high school, they didn’t have an animation department, which was a major reason in why I didn’t really look into CCA. But goddamnit, they have it now. D: Should’ve told me earlier.

Then I visited the FIDM (Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising). Hilda goes there. I’ve always been interested in fashion. Like seriously, I would really want to start my own line of clothes which is kinda like boys style clothing, but fitted and marketed for girls. Cuz seriously, I find so many awesome shirts, but they’re for guys, so it doesn’t fit well. It really pisses me off. I mean, I love the length of guys’ shirts, but they’re not tight around the body and I hate that. And what I hate about girls’ shirts is the sleeve is so goddamn short! I like a little bit of length in sleeves. Plus, the frikkin shirt material is SO thin. It really does bug me because I extremely hate it when you can see the bra’s shape through the shirt. And I love shorts, but all the shorts that they sell for girls is the slutty short shorts. :( I went off on a tangent right there. So yeah, FIDM. The lady was so ecstatic about it and she kept talking to Danielle about FIDM, but she was just standing behind me while I was filling out the information card. XD I got a ton of pamphlets and a catalogue from that.

Afterwards, Danielle had to go to class, so I went to the Media Lab where I chatted it up with a couple of people. Khoi came by and we talked about school for a while. He was planning to ditch Sociology class. Then I chatted more and then the dude next to me told me he was having trouble with Microsoft Word. I guess he overheard me and Khoi’s conversation about the new laptop he got and thought I was good with the computer. I am, but I’m no expert, so I tried my best to help out. The problem was, he was trying to spellcheck, but it wouldn’t recognize ANY misspelled word because it said it skipped the words on the skip words list. So I set the spellcheck back to default, which reset the skip words list. But it was still saying nothing was spelled wrong. So it was probably something wrong with that computer. :(

I chatted more and then I really didn’t feel like going to tennis cuz English was cancelled, I just wanted to chill. I took a survey on AIM and asked people if I should ditch or not. I only had one unsure/no answer, so I ditched. I went to find Khoi cuz I remembered he said he was ditching too. So I found him and we walked around aimlessly and decided to go eat lunch.

He was in Japan over the summer, so he said he missed the food. So I said we could go eat at the restaurant my dad works at because we could get the hook-ups. So he said, “YEAH!” We went down there and my dad was really surprised. He asked how school was and I was like, “Uhh… It was good. :D *Mutter*I totally ditched tennis though…” We only ordered California Rolls, but then the waiters kept bringing other dishes. XD I guess we were getting a service. It was really good. Khoi was so happy. He was like, “I can die happy today…” XD Hahaha, but he decided that he doesn’t want to die because he wants to come back and eat more. And it was so tight because it was FREE. Woo!!! The best kind of lunch that there is.

Khoi forgot about our wheatgrass shot Tuesdays, so we changed it to today. We went to Jamba Juice and ordered our usual 2 oz. wheatgrass shot. When you buy that stuff, you HAVE to buy a Jamba Juice with it. Because wheatgrass just has this disgusting gross taste and it remains in your mouth unless you get a Jamba. I got Sunrise Strawberry and he got Bright-Eyed Blueberry cuz I recommended it. We downed out wheatgrass which that cute guy served us. He has the same wheatgrass religion, so we share our religion with him. He’s pretty tight. I don’t know his name though. XDD Some lady thought we were crazy for drinking wheatgrass. She’s like, “Why don’t you go outside and eat grass?!” What an imbecile… It’s not the same kind of grass, duh. But anyway, we were “drunk” off of the wheatgrass, so we sat outside and talked with our Jambas. However, Khoi’s Bright-Eyed Blueberry really lacked in blueberries, so I traded with him. We talked for a bit and pretended we were drunk off of the wheatgrass shots. Then we went home and now I could use a nap.

:) What an awesome day.

What the Hell

28 09 2006

English class was cancelled. Again. Why do I bother coming to school on Tuesdays and Thursdays when the real reason I do go to school on those days is for English?

We had a goddamn essay due too. ARRRGH, Jesus Christ. I do the homework and the assignments on time and it becomes a waste of time if Sandy doesn’t frikkin come to class, GODDAMNIT.

I mean, it’s tight cuz… I can just go around campus and “slut it up” with Danielle (inside joke, don’t take it seriously…) and then go to the Media Lab and chill. But still, I CAN DO THAT AT HOME OR A MORE FUN ENVIRONMENT!

So frustrating when the teacher ditches class more than the students do.

Hyphy Movement

26 09 2006

I was reminiscing about graduation. Ms. Colton’s speech about what the class of 2006 will be most remembered for came up and I remembered, somehow, we voted ourselves to wanted to be most remembered for the generation to start the hyphy movement.

So then I saw this Wikipedia article and started laughing.

I love the Bay Area. I just never would’ve thought it would be such a huge thing in the nation.

Whoa, M.A.D.E.Planet.com is pretty damn sweet! Ooh, I hope I can get some awesome hook-ups!

Touch It

25 09 2006

Tomorrow is Mooooonday. How lame.

Today wasn’t all that productive. I did do homework. I did draw. But I didn’t finish the Steve Irwin drawing or even touched the “Do I have to Bother” piece. Except in my file of unfinished drawings is the Mobster Hiruma piece and he’s just kinda looking back at me. I did the inking and I finished painting his skin and it kinda surprises me. I REALLY like how I painted the skin on his face. Mobster Hiruma might move up on the list of priorities.

My DeviantArt has been dead. It makes me so sad. I used to have hundreds of views on my Deviations. It’s cuz I don’t do a lot of anime/fanart. It’s so stupid. But whatever. For the purpose of gaining popularity and out of the boredom of doing observational art, I’m gonna draw anime things in my free time.

I want to do Yakitate Japan, Eyeshield 21, Bleach, and… I dunno, what other series should I draw? I definitely gotta draw Suwabara, Kawachi, Azuma, Matsushiro Ken (afro guy), Hiruma, Sena, Akaba, Taki,  Ha-Haa Kyoudai, those guys from Kyojinhei Poseidon, Agon, Soi Fong, Urahara, Aizen, Hitsugaya, Hinamori, and yeah. Wow, that’s a fatty list.
Mezzo Forte has been kinda changing, in terms of what songs I want to draw from. I’m really getting into hip hop lately. But it would be kinda hard to draw and depict from a certain song. Maybe I’ll just do a couple of individual pieces.

I’ve decided what I’m doing for the Italian Street Painting Festival next year. I’m definitely drawing Steve Irwin. Oh wait… That means I need to find a sponsor. Shit, since I’m not drawing for the high school anymore… Hmm…

What the hell is up with that guy and faucets?

Asian boys are so weird… They’re kinda cute, though. :|

Music - Busta Rhymes ft. Lloyd Banks, Papoose, DMX, Mary J. Blige, Missy Elliot - Touch It [Remix]
I love this song.

Saturday Afternoons

24 09 2006

HOLY SHIT.

…I’m just beyond surprised.

Today was SO productive. And yet, I didn’t do an ounce of homework! Seriously, you have no idea how shocked I am.

Okay, first, I was bored as hell. I finished the Renji painting, so I figured, “Hey, I’ll look at the other artworks that I’ve failed to finish for more than a year.” And I found Tropica, so I did more inking on it. I was planning to watercolor it, but back when I started this drawing, I stupidly used extremely cheap and thin watercolor paper. So I doubt I’ll bother with watercolors. It’ll just ruin it. I finished inking the girl. I’ll just add the wicker chair and some tropical background, maybe digitally screentone it and voila, done.

I was browsing through more old art and found an old sketch of Luniara that I was trying to do. See, I promised Mel that I’d draw her RO knight. But I’ve tried at least 5 times and none of them turned out satisfactory. So I started all over and I drew Luniara, her comic character/Void fighter, instead. I sketched for maybe half an hour and painted for 2 and a half hours. And damn, I actually finished a piece in one sitting. I’ve NEVER done that before. :O I was so damn proud. Hooray for watercolors! The scan is really shitty, which sucks. It always turns out too light. Mel was really happy and I was so glad to see that she liked it. She was gonna buy it, but I was planning to give it to her anyway. XD

Then, I thought, “Oh yeah, I have all that Bleach stuff lying around. I need to get going with that damn contest.” So I worked on the website and finished it! Oh man, that’s insane.

Bleach Fashion Contest!

You, yes, you. Enter this contest.

The design’s far from my best, but I don’t think it’s too bad. Just aiming for simplicity.

And then I was working on the Snake drawing that Nico told me to draw for like half a year. But it’s 3:30AM right now, so I’ll finish it some other time. It’s not high on the list of art I need to finish anyway.

Oh, maybe I’ll write the list out.

1. Steve Irwin Memorial Drawing
2. Do I Have to Bother?
3. Tropica
4. Mobster Hiruma
5. Matsushima Mouko
6. Snake

And my list of drawings/artworks that I need to start on:
1. Bill Walsh (49ers coach back in the day)
2. Johnny Knoxville/Steve-O/Chris Pontius (my 3 favorite Jackasses)
3. Cristiano Ronaldo
4. …Other soccer players
5. Mezzo Forte Concentration Portfolio

Mezzo Forte has been on my mind for a while. Like, I love drawing just out of the images that come to mind while listening to certain songs. So far, the list of songs that will be on Mezzo Forte will be…

1. Orange Range - Hana
2. Orange Range - Walk On
3. Bump of Chicken - Taiyou
4. Rip Slyme - Hanabi
5. Soul’d Out - Morning [Outro]
6. Utada Hikaru - Dareka no Negai ga Kanau Koro
7. SPITZ - Stargazer
8. Rip Slyme - Why
9. High and Mighty Color - Dive Into Yourself

I’m not sure if I want to take suggestions for this portfolio since I’m aiming for particular kinds of songs, but it’s worth a try?

OH, Cristiano Ronaldo was on TV today!! It was the club soccer leagues! Manchester United vs. Reading. *___* Cristiano Ronaldo… Okay, watching him today will keep me happy for another few months. The score ended up being 1-1 and no overtime because it was only a playoff league thing. But guess who scored the goal for Manchester United?? :D Cristiano Ronaldo! It was a beautiful goal. God, that man is so hot…

Neville of the Manchester United reminded me a lot of Ribery, the guy with the awful scars on the French team. ._. But whatever, I was staring at Cristiano Ronaldo the whole time.

Today was an awesome day. Now, I hope Alicia forgot about our plans of hanging out… Cuz I don’t want to…

Reiterate

21 09 2006

What I got to say.

First anime piece that I’m not tempted to rip into shreds since last year.

I’m so uninspired these days.

NANYATE?!

…Sorry, I’m just so excited about Yakitate Japan.

I’m so irritated. Which is making me pissed about the smallest of things. Which frustrates me.

I’m still mad that I could’ve made a really awesome friend in Japanese class. But I’m fuckin stupid. :(

Arghsrgwsnfjzsfnsrktgnwgkmnsfdn!!!

*Sigh*

Oh, I realized I never posted my schedule, when I said I would.

Mondays and Wednesdays:
Art-Drawing and Composition 2:00-5:00
Japanese 102 6:40-8:30

Tuesdays and Thursdays:
Psychology 110 8:10-9:30
English 150 9:40-11:00
Tennis 11:10-12:30

People have been calling a lot during class. Which makes me kinda happy, but I can’t answer… D:

[Edit]: I feel like Bromden with mind all fogged up and lost. Sans drugs, though.

College. Arrrgh.

I really hate COM. It’s such a horrible school.

It sucks because whenever someone asks me what college I’m going to, I say COM and they say, “What?! I would’ve never expected you going to COM. I mean… You could’ve gone into any college you wanted!”

And then I feel extremely disappointed. I probably could’ve gotten into a lot of really nice schools. Or at the very least, the Academy of Art. But, I decided not to. After all of my hard work in high school, with the APs, the endless studying, always doing homework, participating in extra curricular activities… And all for pretty much the equivalent of nothing.

I suppose I’ll have to apply it to when I want to go to UCLA.

The only challenging class I have is English. For homework, we had to read some essay about alcoholism. Now, being that I cannot drink, I can’t really say whether it feels good to drink or not. But I hate alcohol. Straight up. Nope, don’t care if it’s in moderation, don’t care if it’s a sip. I hate alcohol. And for more reasons than it could kill me. Plus, it tastes horrible. So this essay wasn’t so bad to read. I could understand his hatred for it.

I’m sleepy…

I finally finished reading all 9 volumes of Baby Love. *Sigh* Such a cute shoujo manga. I love the ending. Kinda abrupt, but it’s still so sweet.

Continuous Content

18 09 2006

3 entries within like… 2 hours? I’m bored.

So, it never quite occured to me how… “Weird” I am. No, I don’t mean like those kids who pride themselves on being freaks. I mean I like things that people never would’ve thought I would like. Let’s see…

I have liberal views. However, I’d be more likely to say I am an environmentalist than a liberal. I respect all organisms on this Earth except for humans and mosquitoes. I like art. Art is mostly defined as one’s feelings being expressed on canvas, but to this date, I have not made a piece based on my own feelings. I am categorized as an anime artist, but I have not done any serious anime art for more than a year. I love Japan, but I hate people who idolize it. I don’t like soda. I think Japanese guys are so attractive, but all of the guys I’ve ever dated are white. I don’t really care about grades, but I do well in school because I don’t want to get yelled at. My mom wants me to live the life of a simple housewife, not having to work and living off of my rich husband. Except I would rather bungee jump with rubber bands than be a housewife, even if the living is easy. I am not scared of snakes, spiders, mice, lizards, or anything like that. But I cannot stand caterpillars or grubby worms. I hate country music, but I love shamisen music. Most people would think I’m either a Japanese pop sort of person or alternative rock sort of person, but the truth is, I love hip hop more than any other genre.

There’s probably more. But I’m going to bed.
